My name is Owen Iyamu and i'm an independent sound designer.
From film remastering to advertising, I enjoy understanding the vision of creators so that the language of sound responds to the language of image.

The original version emphasizes the intensity of the scene. I chose to create more epic versions in order to turn it into a key moment with a clear sense of resolution.
I built Version 1 around a single key moment: the turbo.
Version 2, on the other hand, is structured around three moments: the activation, the turbo, and the overtake.

Movie: Redline (2009)
The original version emphasizes the intensity of the scene. I chose to create more epic versions in order to turn it into a key moment with a clear sense of resolution.

Movie: Metropolis (1927)
I chosed the clock as the central element of the sound design in order to make it a character in its own right, and I deliberately emphasized the space’s reverb to highlight the character’s loneliness in the face of their struggle.

Movie: Time and Tide (2000)
Audio restoration aims to bring out sounds that could not be captured during filming, or to fully recreate the sound elements in order to ensure coherence and optimal listening quality.

I chose the clock as the central element of the sound design in order to make it a character in its own right, and I deliberately emphasized the space’s reverb to highlight the character’s loneliness in the face of their struggle.

Fragrance | There are two melodies: one played on guitar, representing sand, and one on violin, representing fragrance. The other audio elements are meant to intensify the object’s materiality, making it feel heavier and more luminous.
Sport shoe | As the video is very short, there are only three descending notes representing the camera movement and the ice spreading downward along the rock. I end on the fundamental note to create a sense of satisfaction and resolution.
Event announcement | I start from the sounds of the artist to remix and make ia colorful jingle matching with Gameboy visual.

The key here is to give texture to the elements and to the movements. The world needs to feel tangible, and the movements and attacks must be satisfying.
I emphasized the layering of multiple audio elements in order to create a blend between the natural and the fantastical.

Game: Double Dragon (1987)
Here, I propose improving the audio. I do this either by adjusting the mix and recreating stereo through the addition of elements and the recovery of separated tracks, or by fully recomposing the tracks in order to gain more freedom to reuse them and modify the arrangement.
